Engineering Ministries International

EMI–short for Engineering Ministries International; also short for an incredible ministry.  EMI looks to come alongside existing ministries and offer an amazing gift — their talents as engineers, architects, and designers.

We were blessed with an amazing group of people on our EMI team.  They came from all over the U.S. and Canada with the common goal of bringing glory to God and bringing the gospel to a new area of Uganda as they used their different engineering skills to put together a plan for New Hope’s camp.

After some preliminary meetings to get a feel for the direction of the camp, everyone split up to work on their specialties.  We had some guys testing soil, water levels, water contamination and the like while others were working on designing blueprints, putting together cost estimates or pooling information about good building techniques based on the materials that we have on hand.  We were also very blessed by a last minute change which caused a lady to come who specializes in marketing and graphic design.  She helped us to brainstorm a name for the camp and is even now working on putting together some new logos for the ministry.

We had such a fun time with this group and we are so incredibly grateful for the work that they did…and will continue to do in the next few months as they finalize the project.  This was a huge step in getting the camp off the ground and running.  Thank you EMI!  We can’t wait to see you all back here someday to check out your plans put into reality!
