The Dakota Projects

Skidsteer and welding generator

In our last newsletter, we put out word about several projects that people from the Dakotas were spearheading raising funds for.  In the last couple of weeks, we have been blown away by the generosity of God’s people.  In addition to several items for Kasana, funds were raised for a skidsteer, welding generator, and some fencing for the camp–unbelievable!  Many people have been involved in seeing this all happen, but special thanks goes to Dennis Page (was on a team at the camp last Feb.), Gary Wood (NHUM director), and Syd’s dad, Donald for the extra work that they have put in to see all of this become a reality.

You might wonder how all of these big items are getting over to Uganda.  Well, that’s the other part…money was raised to send a container as well.  So early this morning, Gary and Dennis, joined by Dan Aune, started the long trek from Spearfish, SD to Waxhaw, NC to the JAARS office from which the items will be shipped via a container.  Please join us in praying that the container will arrive safely in Uganda by February, that the customs process will go smoothly, and that the remaining money needed for clearing the container through customs will come in due time.
