The Dakota Team

The Dakota Team

We were more than excited to welcome the Dakota Team to Musana as the first team of 2010.  The team was headed up by Gary Wood, the North American Director of NHUM and our good friend and mentor.  It was fantastic to have him out at the camp for almost 2 full weeks!  We were privileged to meet Dennis and Donna last February, a couple from South Dakota who came out with their 2 sons to help at the camp just as things were getting started.  They too have become good friends and it was SO exciting to have them back.  Donna brought her sister, Lynne, and 3 other men, Dave, Mike and Mark also came to leave their mark on the camp.

The team helped us with so many different projects…majorly improving camp and community roads, welding many things, getting a pump working from the stream, moving and organizing camp storage, setting up a database for camp guests, finishing picnic tables, putting in clotheslines, and many other things.  Over the weekend, we enjoyed having the rest of the team (those who were doing work at Kasana) join us at the camp along with some of our staff members.  It was great to be able to show everyone around, share the vision for Musana and even enjoy some time around a campfire together.  We were so blessed and encouraged through our relationships with these team members.  We love you, Dakota Team!
