David Family Retreat

David family retreat

The last week of April, Musana was filled with the sounds of laughter and conversation of 40 people from Kasana.  The David Family and some of the staff that are connected with the family came for a 5 day retreat.  It was especially neat to have David Family here for a retreat because it was the first time that a group RETURNED to the camp.  David Family came for a retreat back in September ’08, before there were any facilities or any staff living on site.  They LOVED being at the camp and since then, have always been looking forward to returning.  They have been a huge source of encouragement throughout the past 2 years.  In the midst of times when we seemed to be “going forward” with little success, we could look back on the time that David Family had had at the camp and know that it is/was all for a purpose.  So, needless to say, it was pretty special to have them return.  They had a great time once again.  We had them help us with some evaluations, and these are some of the responses.

When asked what the best thing about their time as Musana was they said…

    • changing place and getting a chance to swim in the lake
    • swimming and looking at the beauty of the Lord
    • resting from work, going to swim and spending time with God
    • sitting alone thinking about my life
    • seeing Gods creations like Lake Victoria, streams and you see God is powerful.

As you think of it, please join us in praying that the Lord will continue working in these kids’ lives!
