Leaving Uganda

Leaving Uganda

It’s hard to believe that it has only been a month since we left Uganda!  We let time get away on us and now it is a bit hard to think back to our “other life”.  We had a good last couple of weeks in Uganda, finishing some projects (until Syd accidentally put a finishing nail through his finger!!), packing up and saying good-byes.  It’s so nice leaving a place knowing that everything is completely taken care of while you are gone! We went into town a day early which made for a much smoother and restful departure.  In the midst of the excitement, there were definitely some tears shed as well as we thought over the last couple of years.  We look forward to taking time to reflect and learn from this past “term” as we are in the states these next months.

Oh, and as a side note, we never knew that traveling with young children could be so helpful–many times while en route to England and then Chicago, we would get bumped to the front of lines because of Malachi!  He did great on the flights which we were VERY grateful for.  Thanks to all who were praying for our travels!
